The role of physical education in modern education is very significant. It is universal truth that every country needs healthy citizens. This aim can be achieved through the study of physical Education. The main aim of Physical Education is to develop Physical, Mental Moral or social Factors. It is human nature, from the very beginning the civilization, to excel in any field but it is ridiculous fact that enough emphasis is not laid down upon the very important aspect of life i.e. health. Health is a primary need of every individual. As we know “Health is Wealth.
After a lot of gap, now the Government of India has realized the exigency of health and Physical education. That is why; it has introduced ‘Health and Physical Education as a subject in school and colleges. This is praise worthy effort on the part of the government of India to exchange the awareness of the people about health.
Physical education is a part of total education process and is made up to two words ‘Physical & Education’. Education is modification in human behavior.
